I vaguely remember Kathrine saying he had a jacket somewhere and latched onto that idea. Since Doyce posted a nice starter for Mercury, I designed to build off that a little. Makes him look alien without it being off-putting or making his expressing look unreadable. I really like the glowing iris and the dark rest of the eye. Not a lot has changed since the above, except I made things slightly more readable and simplified some of his design (though some of that is due to trying to make it look in the style of like a Teen Titans Go or Star vs. So I'm on revision five for Concord and I really like it. Ghost Girl is going to be weird since women are generally half a head shorter and people from further back in history are generally shorter as well, but I figure I'll ignore history's impact here and just go for somewhere between 5.5 and 6 heads tall. I figure Mercury and Link will be 6 heads tall while classically heroic Jason Quill will be 6.5. Also, he is the youngest by a few years and we want a visual signifier of that. That's on the younger side of 13 (the rule of thumb age scale is 5 heads = 9-13, 6 heads = 13-17, 6.5 heads = adults) to better differentiate between the team members. Opinions? Weird Art Side Note No One Will Really Care About: I made Adam five heads tall here. Same with the eye glows, but I could see that either way. I made 3 mostly as a way to try out some different options, but I think I prefer to glove- and boot-less version more.

The full chest sigil also reminds me a bit of the chest emblems of the Power Rangers' and that's awesome (Yeah, I'm from that generation.) It also implied as skin-tight protective shell and that's cool too.

The star field skin really reminds me of the Silver Surfer's look (the original cosmic powered' superhero) without completely aping his look.

I like the stripe of starfield (in the animated series version of our game, moves with him) but I started to wonder what it'd look like if I pushed it further, hence 2 and 3. So you'll probably recognize 1 from my icon. So I've been thinking about Adam's costume and trying to make it as alien as its origin implies. But seeing as how I just started Labor Day Weekend this afternoon, seemed fitting. And if I wasn't so busy at work, it would have happened sooner.

I thought helmet toggel is like the most obvious patch candidate you can get.You all knew this was coming.

The fact that BW actually defends this very questionable design decision which leads to bugs and makes one of the biggest features in the game redundant while having it done better in previous games frightens me. Its just the helmet that needs to be off in dialoges.ĭid the storm trooper armors of Luke and Han in Star Wars suddenly look like some worn out peasant cloth when they took of their helmets? So saying the ego of a helmet designer is more important than an established main feature of the whole franchise is just rediculous.Īnd appart from that which considers all armor, noone wants the DLC armor to be colorable or other parts exchangeable. Alot more work went into this than into the full head helmets. Helmets in dialoges destroy a major feature of the game. Either the helmet automaticly comes of in conversations or you can toggle without losing the bonus like in ME1.

Saying that these things are not bugs is straight on lying, becasue these are old fashioned immersion breaking bugs.įurthermore, BioWare already have two other systems (Mass Effect, Dragon Age) where it works perfectly. And you cant know that someone will recognize you, without seeing your face. You cant know that you end up in a bar after you leave the normandy. First of you dont always know what is going to happen unless you played through it several times.
